At the right place and at the right time, I discovered the healing arts in the mid-80’s while living in Los Angeles. I graduated from the Massage School of Santa Monica and the Shiatsu Massage School of California and barely out of school, I had a large private clientele that allowed me to immediately practice and feel comfortable with my new learned skills.
In the late 80’s I was invited to join a team of carefully picked therapists to start Burke Williams Beyond the Spa, one of the first day spas in the US. I quickly became the director of the massage department, and by the time I left in 2000, I was managing over 200 massage therapists in four facilities while running a high quality profitable massage department.
I then took a break and moved to New York. When I was ready to go back to work, I was offered a spa manager position at the prestigious Canyon Ranch Resort. This offer made me realize that what I loved most in my work was practicing bodywork, teaching and training. I turned down the offer and decided to pursue my true calling and focus on my private practice instead.
In 2009, I started teaching Swedish massage at the Vancouver School of Massage and Bodywork (VSBM) in British Columbia, Canada, where I worked with a team of inspiring teachers and a visionary school director and administrative staff. There I met Mylène Bergeron, creator of Deep Flow (deepfloweurope.com). This encounter gave a new and energizing direction to my work. I started studying with her, and I still continue to do so.
In 2010, I stopped my regular teaching at VSBM to follow my husband’s work back to the States. Coincidentally, at that time a school in France asked me to teach.
In September 2014, I once again moved. This time back to my home country as I am hoping to expand my teaching schedule there and develop a new practice and consult for spas. I have settled with my family in the city of Nantes.
